Just for you."Online retailers have discovered that out of the 67% of customers who abandon their online shopping carts, about 36% do so because of prices. To combat this, several sites will offer you discounted prices or free shipping if you abandon your shopping cart. It's good for them, and good for us.Of course, this tactic seems to be the exact opposite of airlines, who actually raise the price on you when you come back.

Sites Where This Trick WorksMany sites will just send you spam reminders saying, "Act now! Limited supply, proceed to checkout!"—but don't fall for their tricks. Here is a list of known retailers who offer discounts via email when you abandon your cart.This is by no means an exhaustive list, so regardless of what site you're buying from, it's worth a try. And it should go without saying that you need to be logged in while shopping. We are much more likely to open an email from a company if we think it contains a discount, and we are even more likely to purchase their product if we are given that discount.There is a good chance several other sites also give discounts for abandoned carts. Just be sure to give them an alias email name when you register, and reap the benefits. Even the small flip-up stands underneath most keyboards were not good enough for me, as those little legs aren't usually more than 2 or 3 centimeters high. I'd like a minimum of 5 cm, so I decided to make this keyboard base for myself. Aside from giving me the right height and angle, this DIY keyboard base also features LEDs that light up my monitor, the table, and gives a nice background to my desktop. It's been a long road, but the guys over at CoolStar have finally come up with a stable, semi-untethered jailbreak for 64-bit iPhones, iPads, and iPad touches running on iOS 11.2 up to 11.3.1, with the latest update extending coverage to 11.4 beta 3. So if you've held off on updating to the latest iOS 11.4.1, your patience has finally paid off.In its heyday, jailbreaking your iOS device meant gaining access to thousands of tweaks and mods not allowed by Apple to give you the ability to thoroughly customize your iPhone — from adding a numeric keyboard, viewing your RAM, to changing your font, and so much more.Unfortunately, the list of available (and iOS 11 compatible) tweaks has been significantly reduced due to the relative inactivity from the jailbreak community resulting from Apple's largely successful campaign to clamp down on the practice. Despite this, a good amount of functional tweaks are still available and the list is growing by the day to give you a decent selection of mods for your device.That said, the latest jailbreak by way of Electra works on all 64-bit iOS devices, from the iPhone 5s all the way up to the iPhone X. Though the jailbreak is incredibly easy to accomplish, it is semi-untethered, which means that you'll have to re-enable it using the same steps highlighted below each time your device powers down or reboots.Don't Miss: How to Install Kodi on Your iPhone Without Jailbreaking
Things to ConsiderIt's important to note that the Electra jailbreak will not work if you've recently updated your iOS device to 11.4.1. But if you haven't updated yet, we highly recommend that you refrain from doing so until a reliable jailbreak is released for it, as Apple has stopped signing the previous 11.4 beta 3 firmwares for the iPhone 7 on up.If you were fortunate enough to downgrade to 11.4 beta 3 before Apple closed the window, or have a firmware version that falls between 11.2 to 11.4, you're safe to proceed with the steps below.Don't Miss: Save Your iPhone's SHSH2 Blobs So You Can Downgrade Later

Step 1: Head Over to TweakBoxTo get started, open Safari on your device and go to next.tweakboxapp.com. Once you're on the site, either tap on the "Apps" tab along the top of the page or swipe left to go to the "Apps" page. From there, scroll down and select "Electra 11.3.1 MultiPath(proper)" to go to its page. Now, tap on the red "Install" button within the page, then hit "Install" again on the confirmation prompt that appears. Wait a minute or two after you've made your selections, then exit out of Safari. An icon for Electra will now be present on your iPhone's home screen, but don't tap on it just yet — proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Trust Your ProfileBefore using the Electra app to jailbreak your device, you'll first have to trust yourself as a developer for the app to open. So open Settings, select "General," then scroll down and select "Device Management" on the following page. Within the Device Management page, tap on "Trust DingshengcaifulInvestment Management," then select "Trust" again from the prompt that pops up to confirm your selection. Exit out of Settings once you're done, and head to the final step.

Step 3: Open Electra & Execute the JailbreakThe path is now clear to open Electra, so tap on the app and make sure that the toggle next to "Tweaks" is set to the "On" position on the following page. Hit "Enable Jailbreak" when you're ready, and the app will proceed to jailbreak your device automatically. Your iPhone will reboot on its own after a minute or two, and once it has successfully powered back up, an icon for Cydia will now be present on your home screen. You're now free to tap on Cydia to access the app, and start experimenting with various (available) tweaks to your heart's content!
Important NotesIt's worth repeating that as a semi-untethered jailbreak, you'll have to re-enable the jailbreak as shown on Step 3 each time you power down your device. Fortunately, any tweaks and mods you've installed and enabled will automatically kick in once your jailbreak is re-enabled.Also, bear in mind that due to the sheer amount of devices that are covered by the jailbreak, individual results may vary as far as executing the jailbreak is concerned. We tested the method on an iPhone SE on 11.2.1 and an iPhone 8 on 11.4 beta 3 and found that the jailbreak succeeded on the first attempt on the SE, while it finally worked for the iPhone 8 after multiple attempts involving rebooting the device.On a final note, Saurik, the developer of Cydia, has warned users in previous Electra jailbreaks that whenever he updates Cydia in the future, then Cydia will likely not be compatible with your Electra jailbreak. If that ever happens, you'll have to wait for CoolStar to add support for the latest version of Cydia.At any rate, we'd love to hear from you, so be sure to leave a comment below and let us know how the jailbreak works for you. As the internet continues to become a bigger part of our day-to-day lives, we slowly but surely start to rack up a bunch of web-based subscriptions. These internet subscription services—Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, just to name a few—may seem innocuously cheap individually, but when combined, they actually comprise a significant portion of our monthly bills.All of that considered, it's high time we had an easy way to keep track of these numerous subscriptions. Developer Yummygum thought the same, so he created an iPhone app that puts all of your online subscriptions in one place, complete with custom icons and notifications. It's incredibly easy to set up, too, so read on below to see how it all works.

Step 1: Install BobbyThe app that will help you keep track of all your bills and online subscriptions is called Bobby (previously named Billy), and it's available for free on the iOS App Store.Install Bobby for free from the iOS App Store

Step 2: Find Services & Add Your SubscriptionsOnce you've got Bobby installed, be sure to grant the app permission to post notifications if you'd like to use its reminder feature. Aside from that, start by tapping the + button in the top-right corner to add a new subscription service that you'd like to track.From here, you'll see a list of all the online services that Bobby has preset templates for, and all you have to do to select one is tap it. Otherwise, tap the search icon at the top of the screen to find a specific service, then select it from this menu. Next, enter the monthly cost of this subscription into the topmost field, then you can add a description or choose whether this service bills monthly, quarterly, or annually. Aside from that, expand the "More Options" section towards the bottom to view more options, then select the "First bill" option to set your billing cycle. From here, use the following menu to select your next billing date, and this date will be used going forward as well. Beyond that, you can use the "Remind me" option to get a notification when this bill is coming due, but make sure to tap the "Add" button in the top-right corner to wrap things up when you're done.

Step 3: Add Subscriptions ManuallyIf a subscription service or bill was not listed when you searched its name, that's no biggie, because adding an entry manually is incredibly easy. When you type in a name and it's not found, simply tap the create button at the bottom of the screen. From here, options such as "Add icon" and "Color" allow you to customize the appearance of this bill reminder, so choose those to begin. At this point, you'll be able to select from several different icons, and of course you can add a custom color, so even if Bobby doesn't have a service queued up already, you can still make it visually interesting. Beyond that, the rest of the setup is identical to the process depicted in Step 2, so you should already feel right at home.

Step 4: View Upcoming Bills & Get NotificationsAfter adding any additional bills or subscriptions, you'll be all set to go. Worth noting, though, the free version of Bobby only allows for up to 4 separate bills or subscriptions at a time, but an in-app purchase of $0.99 will remove this limitation.The subscriptions are shown in a color-coded lists, with icons to make it easy to see which bill is going to be due next. The list itself is ordered by due date, so the bill that's coming up next will always be first. On top of that, if you opted to enable reminders, you'll even get a notification when each bill is coming due. Well, he wanted to make the process a little less stressful, so he used an Arduino, LED light, and some simple coding to build a desk light that notifies him when a job notification email had been received in his Gmail inbox. You can get a microcontroller at any electronics shop, like RadioShack, or just buy it online. The software and coding needed for this Arduino inbox alert light can be found for here, which is used to turn the LED light off and on.The python script checks for any new emails and sends a signal to the Arduino. To make sure you have Python downloaded on your computer, run Terminal (OS X) or a Command Prompt (Windows) and type 'python' (without the quotes). From there, downloaded the Python extension pyserial 2.6. This will make sure your Arduino can be contacted via USB.
