One thing you have to love about Google is their sense of humor. From their annual April Fool's Day pranks to the hidden Flappy Bird mini-game in Android to tons of hidden commands in Hangouts, you can just tell that those smart guys in Mountain View still like to have a little bit of fun with their work.Considering their industry, it only makes sense that these folks would be fans of the British sitcom, The IT Crowd. One bit in particular seems to have stood out to them, as they've turned it into an Easter egg in the latest version of Android. If you haven't already seen it, check out the gag below:
Of course, that ridiculously long phone number doesn't actually summon emergency services, but if your phone is running vanilla Android and Marshmallow or higher, it will at least trigger a cool little Easter egg. To try it out, just open the stock phone app and type in the following number:0118 999 881 999 119 725 3 As soon as you enter the number (you don't even have to press the call button), your phone will buzz with a quick vibration. From there, the call button, which is normally green, will flash blue and red like the lights on a police car.
